Updated: Mar 2, 2021

The first step in healing unresolved pain is to identify the source of said pain. That means recognizing your reaction to certain triggers, connecting those triggers to the pain, and then pin pointing the unresolved trauma/source of that pain.

Of course this is easier said than done, but with practice, can be used to heal any type of unresolved trauma.

Unresolved trauma may not be identified as a major traumatic expereince and in some cases, comes from individual traumatic events that occur in childhood. As childhood is the period in our lives where we are most vulnerable, there can be a series of separate small traumatic events that cause an overall experience of trauma. Thus, playing a major role in our social adaptability, interactions with others , and reactions when emotionally triggered as adults.

That's why it's so important to be self-aware and proactive about resolving any unresolved trauma in your past. This will ensure healing from brokenness, growth as mature adult, as well as spiritual formation in Christ.

It's not easy, but with Christ it can be done. Come on, let's take the first step to healing together.
